Eight Seasons

Nyheter >> Senaste nytt

This year the Eight Seasons exhibition will be on display at the Forestry Museum in Lycksele - an object and picture narrative on the life and history of the Sami people.

The name of the exhibition refers to the Sami traditionally having divided the year into eight seasons in order to describe the seasonal changes.

Fishery conservation:
In the nutrient-poor watercourses in nothern Sweden a lack of fishing ethics may cause great damage to our natural stocks. Grayling and trout are particularly sensitive. so overfishing may devastate fishing for a long time. Bear in mind that the brooks are often spawning and growth habitats for trout. If they are left in peace, we will get more and bigger fish in the main watercourses. The grayling, which spawns in spring, must also be left alone to do so in peace in order to improve grayling fishery. Don't catch more fish than you can consume as fresh.
