This year the Eight Seasons exhibition will be on display at the Forestry Museum in Lycksele - an object and picture narrative on the life and history of the Sami people.

The name of the exhibition refers to the Sami traditionally having divided the year into eight seasons in order to describe the seasonal changes.

General information: The Vänjaurträsk Fishery and Village Association fishing waters are situated about 40 kilometres SE of Lycksele along Rd 353.

Fishing
In Lake Vänjaurträsket there is big perch and pike and also lavaret and trout. In recent years trout have been put out, so there is a chance for big trout. The biggest so far: 6.9 kilogrammes.

Fishery conservation:
We depend on your help to succeed with our fishery conservation. A lack of fishing ethics may have devastating consequences for the nutrient-poor watercourses in northern Sweden. Our natural stocks of grayling and trout are particularly sensitive, so refrain from overfishing. Bear in mind that brooks are often spawning and growth habitats for trout. If they are left in peace, we will get better fishing in our main watercourses.
