Eight Seasons

Nyheter >> Senaste nytt

This year the Eight Seasons exhibition will be on display at the Forestry Museum in Lycksele - an object and picture narrative on the life and history of the Sami people.

The name of the exhibition refers to the Sami traditionally having divided the year into eight seasons in order to describe the seasonal changes.

General information: The Djupseleforsen Fishery Conservation Area is situated about 85 kilometres NW of Lycksele along Road 363. The area starts about six kilometres north of Vindelgransele and is dominated by mainly good rapid sections of the Vindel River. There are also some small lakes and meres.

Fishing:
The rapid sections can offer good fishing for grayling and trout. There is also salmon. In Lake Blåsträsket there is good fishing for perch and pike.

Fishing rules:
Angling with hand tackle. No fishing allowed in current waters September 15 - October 14. No fishing for grayling May 10 - June 10.

Minimum sizes:
Grayling 30, trout 35, salmon 50 centimetres.

Fishing permits:

  • Fredrik Stenman - Vindelgransele 0950 - 820 01

Fishery conservation:
The nutrient-poor watercouses in northern Sweden are particularly sensitive to intense fishing. a lack of fishing ethics may cause great damage to our natural stocks of grayling and trout. Everyone has to refrain from overfishing.
Stick to the fishery rules. Bear in mind that brooks are often the spawning and growth habitats for trout, and these have to be left alone in order to get better fishing and larger fish in the main watercourses.

Information:
Chair Henry Önnerlöv    Vindelgransele   0950 - 820 46, Fredrik Stenman - Vindelgransele   0950 - 820 01
