Eight Seasons

Nyheter >> Senaste nytt

This year the Eight Seasons exhibition will be on display at the Forestry Museum in Lycksele - an object and picture narrative on the life and history of the Sami people.

The name of the exhibition refers to the Sami traditionally having divided the year into eight seasons in order to describe the seasonal changes.

Fishery conservation:
The Falträsk Fishery Conservation Area is dependent on your help for continuous good fishing in the future. A lack of fishing ethics may be devastating for our natural stocks. The natural stocks of grayling and trout are particularly sensitive. Overfishing could devastate the stocks for years to come. Bear in mind that trout swim up into small brooks to spawn. Here they must also be given the chance to grow, before they go out into the main watercourses. If the trout is left in peace in the brooks, we will get more and bigger trout. The grayling which spawns in the spring, must also be left to spawn in peace for better future grayling fishery.
