Eight Seasons

Nyheter >> Senaste nytt

This year the Eight Seasons exhibition will be on display at the Forestry Museum in Lycksele - an object and picture narrative on the life and history of the Sami people.

The name of the exhibition refers to the Sami traditionally having divided the year into eight seasons in order to describe the seasonal changes.

Welcome to have a look at Olle Blomberg's Home and Studio Exhibition - the 30s to the 90s. Olle and Hertha Blomberg used to receive visitors to their home at  Tuggensele. In the summer a sign "Tuggengården - Welcome" used to hang along the Lycksele road. Here in the forest country on the bank of the Ume River they found an inexhaustable source of inspiration, and they wished for more people to experience and get inspired by the beautiful scenery. Olle Blomberg readily spoke to visitors about his painting. In the course of a number of years he developed the educational colour clock.

Tuggengården opening hours as from July 6 through August 19:

Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays 12.00 - 18.00

For further information on Tuggengården, contact guide Karin Söderlund, Tel. 070-660 64 28 or Bengt Östbom, Tel. 168 23.

Very welcome from the Hertha och Olle Blomberg's Foundation
and the Friends of Olle Blomberg's Society.
