Eight Seasons

Nyheter >> Senaste nytt

This year the Eight Seasons exhibition will be on display at the Forestry Museum in Lycksele - an object and picture narrative on the life and history of the Sami people.

The name of the exhibition refers to the Sami traditionally having divided the year into eight seasons in order to describe the seasonal changes.

Fishery conservation:
The Rusksele Joint Ownership association needs your help in order to retain good fishing also for the future. Unethical fishing may devastate fishing for a long time.
Remember that small brooks are often spawning and growth habitats for trout. If they are left in peace, we will get bigger trout in our main watercourses. The grayling, which spawns in the spring, must also be left to do so in peace for better future grayling fishing. In the nutrient-poor rivers of northern Sweden overfishing is simply no acceptable in view of our sensitive natural stocks.
